the real football

I am an air traffic controller by trade who coaches soccer as a serious avocation. I have lived in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area since the mid 1980s, and have been coaching soccer at various levels since soon after moving to the Twin Cities. Photography is another hobby of mine, and bicycling is becoming one as well.

I am married, with three children (19 year old son, 15 year old son, and 14 year old daughter), and have two wonderful dogs. I hope you enjoy my little corner of the internet.

btw, no, that is not me in the picture on the main page! As I mentioned, I do a little photography from time to time, and was able to capture a decent image of Mr. Beckham when he and the LA Galaxy made an appearance in Minnesota in late 2007.
